Get rid of the Trojan Horse virus without spending money

Has your computer started to slow down?  When your computer starts to show signs of slowing down, whether you are opening a file, running a program or booting up your computer, this is the first sign that will indicate that you have a virus on your computer.  Having a virus on your computer will create a lot of damage and may cost you your personal information.  One of the most damaging viruses that can infect your computer is the Trojan Horse virus.

The Trojan Horse virus is a virus that will attach itself to your computer and start to attack your files quickly and quietly.  Many computer users don’t even know the virus is on their computer until it is too late.  The Trojan Horse is meant to take your personal information and destroy your computer.  In fact, the virus got its name from Greek Mythology and the Trojan horse the Greek’s used to attack a city.  The Trojan horse was created to hide soldiers in.  When the horse was within the city walls, the soldiers attacked the city.  The Trojan Horse virus is the same.  Once it has passed through the programs and downloads on your computer, it will attack.

Remove the Trojan Horse virus as soon as you detect it on your computer.  Your first option that you can use without spending money is locating the virus on your own and removing it.  The second option available to you is downloaded and antivirus software that is free.  The software will find and remove the software for you.  Either option you choose will struggle to find the infected files.  The Trojan Horse virus has been known to bundle itself among many different programs and files.

To find the virus yourself, scroll through the different programs that are listed on your menu bar and your task bar.  Look for any programs that you do not recognize and that you did not install.  Uninstall these programs from your computer.  To accomplish this, you will need to use the control panel on your computer.  Locate your control panel and find the program you want removed.  Click on the program and click on uninstall.  The program will be deleted from your computer and the Trojan Horse virus that is attached will also be deleted.  Finding the virus on your own can be effective, but you may not find all of the files that have become infected.

By using the antivirus software, the software will run a “scan” and locate the infected files for you.  When the “scan” is complete, you will click on the “remove” option and the program and Trojan Horse virus will be deleted.  Since the virus will hide itself deep within your programs and files and create a bundle with other programs, run the “scan” a few times to make sure the antivirus software has located all of the infected programs and files.

The sooner you locate and remove the infected files on your computer, the safer your personal information, programs and files will be.  Don’t hesitate if you believe the Trojan Horse virus is associated with your computer.
